Healing Is Already Yours

Penny didn’t understand. She’d been taught that sometimes God puts sickness on people because He wants to teach them something. Although she’d heard that all of her life, that’s not what the Bible teaches.

That thought became a stronghold in Penny’s mind and prevented her from receiving the healing Jesus already died to give her. Before Penny could receive her healing she had to understand that sickness and disease came with the Fall of man in the Garden of Eden. That’s when devil became the god—little g, of the world (2 Corinthians 4:4). Adam handed his dominion and authority over to him. The devil is the one behind all sickness and disease. He deceives people into believing that it’s God who wants them sick. But that’s a lie. It’s a lie straight from the pit of hell.

In the Old Testament, God got the credit and the He took the blame for everything that happened. The people of the Old Testament didn’t know much, if anything about the devil because there was nothing they could do about him. Jesus brought us revelation of God as our Father. He also informed us about the devil. Because of Jesus we have a New Covenant. God sent Jesus to show us His true nature (John 14:10). Jesus said, if you’ve seen Me you’ve seen the Father (John 14:9).

Penny began reading her Bible and discovered the Truth. She found out that God doesn’t make His kids sick. Under her New Covenant through Jesus, healing belonged to her. Penny took Acts 10:38 and meditated it until it became a reality in her life.

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power; who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil…” (Acts 10:38).

Jesus healed all who were oppressed of the devil, not God.

Penny learned that Jesus is the Word of God made flesh (John 1:1,14,17-18). She saw in the New Testament that God is a Good Father who never puts sickness or disease on His kids. God came in the flesh to take sickness and disease upon Himself so that His kids didn’t have to suffer with it. Check out HERE’S THE PROOF.

STEPS TO RECEIVE HEALING

1. Get rooted and established in the Word of God where healing is concerned. We have to know what belongs to us through Jesus or the devil will steal it. God sent His Word and healed all who would believe. That’s the key, the faith key. We have to believe.

“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107:20).

God sent His Word—Jesus. As John chapter one tells us, Jesus is the Word made flesh. He’s also the Word of God in written form—the Bible. That’s why it’s critical that God’s kids read their Bibles. God sent His Word about 2,000 years ago. He died the death of the cross to redeem man from the curse that Adam released into the world. The curse is spiritual death, poverty, sickness and disease.

Our job is to believe. Four times in the Bible God tells us that His kids will live by faith: Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11, Hebrews 10:38. Faith believes without evidence. It’s the same kind of believing as when we first believed in Jesus. We couldn’t see Him. We believed what the Word said about Him and we followed the outline Paul gave us in Romans 10:10. “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

We believe in our heart, not our heads. That’s why it sometimes takes a bit to see the healing take place in our body. We have to go from head knowledge and get it into our heart so it comes out our mouth. We can mentally agree with what the Word says all day long. But until we put it in our heart by meditating it, and release faith with our words, it won’t work for us. Receiving healing this way is by faith. We all want it in an instant but that’s called a miracle. God didn’t say we’d live by miracles. He said we’d live by faith.

To meditate means to think about and mutter. It’s what God told Joshua to do to be successful. It’s wisdom to do what God says to do if we want to be successful in receiving the healing, or anything else Jesus died to give us.

Here’s what happened: Moses died and Joshua was taking over. God told Joshua, “This book of law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” (Joshua 1:8).

To be of good success where health and healing is concerned we would speak and think about the healing Scriptures. We good take them like medicine—because the Word is medicine to our flesh.

“My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For thy are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh” (Proverbs 4:20-22 AMPC)

The literal Hebrew says it’s medicine to all our flesh. By taking God’s medicine which is the Word of God we are building up our faith for healing to over take the illness attacking our body. Our job is to keep saying what God says and agree with His Word over what’s happening in our body. That doesn’t mean we stop taking prescriptions. Taking medication won’t prevent anyone from receiving healing. Medicine is a good thing that helps the body while healing can manifest.

2. Once the Word of Truth gets in our heart we’ll know that healing belongs to us. No one will be able to talk us out of it. All we have to do is keep agreeing with the Word that healing belongs to us with the words of our mouth. We do this just like when we agreed with the Word and made Jesus Lord of our life. We might say, “I believe I receive my healing now, in the Name of Jesus.”
3. Remember, the devil wants to keep us sick. He’ll come with thoughts like, that stuff doesn’t work. So and so died. Did Jesus really provide healing for you?

Don’t believe his lies. When thoughts come to your mind that are contrary to what you believe you receive just say, “It is written… and then recite the promises you’re standing on and he’ll fleeeeeee.

4. Step three is also how you keep your healing. Satan often tries to convince people that their condition has come back on them through lying symptoms. Don’t let him fool you. I recommend you always have healing scriptures in your arsenal.
