IN THE MARKETPLACE
God often directs me to bring healing to people out in the marketplace. If you’re one of these people, this is written especially with you in mind.
WHAT JUST HAPPENED?
The short answer is that a power far greater than the sickness or disease attacking your body showed up. That power is the power of the Word of God that was released when we prayed. We directed the Promise of God’s Word for healing at the sickness operating in your body by using faith-filled words. We then used faith-filled words to call healing forth.
HOW FAITH-FILLED WORDS WORK
Jesus said if you have faith as a seed you would say (Luke 17:6). Jesus also said the Word of God is the seed (Luke 8:11). When we have faith as a seed Jesus said we’d release the seed to where it will grow by saying something. Jesus often used simple examples that are common to man to explain complex Truths. He said the Word of God works like a seed and we’re to plant Word Seed by saying.
The seed is planted in our hearts by our saying it. In Mark, chapter four, Jesus taught His disciples that when the Word Seed is planted it works the same way a cucumber seed, or any other kind of seed works when planted in soil.
Seeds germinate, grow roots, bud, and in time bear fruit. We don’t know how it grows or how giant vines and fat cucumbers come out of a little seed, they just do. Everything needed for the cucumber seed to produce cucumbers is contained within the seed. It knows its job. We know it takes time to grow.
Jesus taught that the Word Seed planted in the heart of a man is the spiritual equivalent of the natural seed planting process we all understand. We plant a seed in sunny, fertile soil and provide the right growth atmosphere by watering it, weeding around it, and keeping the bugs and critters away. We do all of that before we enjoy any of the fruit the seed will produce. Time.
The heart of man that Jesus is talking about is not our thumper. It’s our spiritual heart and it’s called the garden of God (1Corinthians 3:9). It’s located within our spirit and it connects to the elements that comprise the soul—our mind, free will and emotions. Like a cucumber seed has enemies to its growth, the Word of faith Seed has enemies. Worry, doubt, unbelief, draught, and lack of Sonshine will stunt or prevent growth. The enemies of faith access our hearts through the soul. Our soul includes our will, emotions and our minds. We have to guard what we allow into our soul. We have to be purposeful in what we think and dwell on. Our thoughts can promote the growth of our seed or stop its production. God says as a man thinks in his heart—so he is (Proverbs 23:7). We have to be wise about our thinking to not allow anything corrupt into our heart that can affect our Seed.
Enemies to the Seed might look something like this. “Does God really want me well? I wonder if this is working, it’s taking a long time. Aunt Sally said she was waiting on God to heal her, but she died.” These are thoughts contrary to the Word of faith seed. We can’t allow other people’s experiences or results change what God says. Jesus said to have faith in God (Mark 11:22).
Because we have faith to expect cucumbers, we plant cucumber seeds. Within the seed is the DNA for cucumbers. We should have the same expectation and trust concerning the Word of God. The Word of God contains God’s DNA. The Word knows its job just like the cucumber seed, the Word knows what to do and how to grow. As we believe God gave us cucumber seeds because He wants us to have cucumbers, we can train our thoughts to remain fixed on God’s promises. Because God is trustworthy. We can believe He gave us the Word of faith healing Seed because He wants us healed and living healthy.
Everything needed including the faith required for the Seed to produce healing is contained within the Seed. That’s why it’s called the Word of faith (Romans 10:8).
The Word of faith produces the faith inside of us to believe for its fruit.
GOD WORKS WITH HIS WORD
Speaking words is God’s method of operation—His MO. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). The more we speak and hear ourselves speak the Truth the more we believe it. God gave us this method to follow so we’d get the same results Jesus obtained during His earthly ministry. Jesus came to destroy the devil’s works (1 John 3:8). Jesus healed all who were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38). And He paid the price for sin. Through His death, burial and ressurrection Jesus’s sacrifice dealt with sin and all manner of sickness and disease once—and for all mankind, forever (Hebrews 10:12). Jesus never has to die again for someone to be saved from eternal death. Jesus never has to die again for anyone to receive the healing He died for us to have. All we have to do is receive Everything Jesus Died To Give Us.
HAVE FAITH IN GOD
Sickness and disease is a dark destructive force that operates in the earth. It dates back to the Garden of Eden and to the first man Adam. Adam, through his free will sinned and put mankind in the hands of the enemy. The Bible calls this enemy satan, the devil, and the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4). God warns us that he comes only to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). That’s why there are so many victims of abuse, tragedy, poverty, lack, sickness, disease and premature death in the world.
“Therefore, as sin came into the world through one man, and death as the result of sin, so death spread to all men . . .” (Romans 5:12).
“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ,” (Romans 5:17).
Sickness and disease is not supposed to rein over us. We can reign in life over sickness and disease because of what Jesus Christ did for us. It takes faith. So have faith, believe, that God’s will is healing as well as His will is that all men to be saved (John 3:16).
HERE’S YOUR PROOF
Isaiah prophesized that God would provide healing through Christ.
“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; AND with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:4-5).
Matthew 8:17 declared Isaiah’s prophecy fulfilled.
“And thus He fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, He Himself took [in order to carry away] weaknesses and infirmities and bore away our diseases.”
Peter taught this truth to his congregation.
“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed” (1 Peter 2:24).
If we were healed by His stripes, we were healed when He took them for us 2,000 years ago and we’re still healed today. It now becomes a matter of believing and receiving what Jesus died to give us.
But it’s not enough just to believe it with our minds. We have to take it into our heart with Words of faith Seed and keep that seed growing and producing fruit.
ENFORCE WHAT JESUS DIED TO GIVE YOU
“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak” (2 Corinthians 4:13).
We can trust God’s Word for healing the same way we trust for eternal salvation.
“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, The WORD OF FAITH, which we preach;
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:8-10).
The word salvation comes from the New Testaments original Greek language, soteria. It means the provision is there to save you from whatever you need saving from. Salvation means to save, and continue to save, to deliver and bring health. That includes salvation from any and all sickness or disease including what is attacking your body.
WHILE FAITH GROWS
★ Even though you may not see instant results or feel like you’re healed don’t give up. Remember, Jesus said the Word of faith seed works like a seed. It takes time to grow cucumbers. All the faith required for the seed to produce healing fruit is inside the seed. Keep it growing. Keep speaking the Word of faith.
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).
Your faith grows when it hears you speaking words of faith. You may feel it like you’d feel hope. You might experience an excitement or expectation. When we speak God’s Word, words of faith we’re providing water and Sonlight that the Seed needs to produce.
This may be so big your mind can’t understand it all at first. But because God said it, we choose to believe it’s true. We choose to take Him at His Word by faith believing He will reward us (Hebrews 11:6).
★ Sometimes sickness and disease gets a head start on us. So while we’re waiting, it’s important to continue doing whatever we can do to help our body. Don’t stop taking medicine unless your doctor tells you to stop. Taking a prescription or seeing a doctor will not stop the Word of faith seed from producing. Doctors fight the same enemy that we fight only in a different way.
★ Pray. Thank God for healing you—even before you see it or feel it—that’s faith in action. And while you’re growing the manifestation of healing for all to see, keep taking God’s medicine too (Proverbs 4:20-23). His medicine is His Word. We can take God’s medicine three or twenty-three times a day without any harmful side effects. And before you realize it the manifestation of healing will take over the sickness or disease. The power resident in God’s Word is greater than any sickness or disease.
